'Spooky Surprises' In Store At Folsom Tavern Fundraiser

Costumes are encouraged, as is dancing to Halloween tunes in the graveyard and enjoying beer garden offerings under the new moon.

EXETER, NH — "Spooky surprises" are in store next week at a fall fundraiser at Folsom Tavern in Exeter.

The Spooky Folsom event, which will be held to support next spring's Exeter LitFest, will give guests ages 21 and up a chance to "get your Halloween groove on" in the beer garden on Oct. 4. from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.

Costumes are encouraged, as is dancing to Halloween tunes in the graveyard and enjoying beer garden offerings under the new moon.

"Will you dare to visit with the Ghost Busters, stop by a séance or try a specially crafted creation in the potion room?" the annual literary festival wrote in a promotion for the fundraising event. "Don’t miss the Lounge of the Undead on the second floor."

Tickets, which cost $30 and include admission to the haunted tavern, and are still available and can be bought online.

"This event was extremely popular last year and we can't wait for you to see the spooky surprises we have in store this year," the festival said.
