Hampton Voters Approve $5M Sewer Upgrades
Hampton voters approved $5 million in sewer upgrades during a Special Town Meeting.

HAMPTON, NH — Hampton voters Friday night approved $5 million in sewer upgrades. The vote tally was 964 in favor and 56 opposed during a Special Town Meeting at the Marston School. The 95 percent majority exceeded the three-fifths majority needed for the upgrade plan to pass.
The money will be used to replace pipes from the Church Street pumping station to the sewer treatment plant on Hardardt’s Way. One of the pipes failed as recently as June, officials said.
