Announce Your Candidacy on Patch

Use Patch to spread the word about your platforms and why you're running this March for town or school office.

Wednesday, Jan. 23, was the start of the filing period for Hampton's and North Hampton's town and school elections.

Numerous town, Hampton School District, North Hampton School District and Winnacunnet School District positions are available, and we're calling for any and all Hampton and North Hampton residents planning to run for office to announce their candidacy right here on Hampton-North Hampton Patch.

The procedure will be simple and will be similar to how we structured things during last year's state elections filing period.

Anybody running for one of local elected positions should please upload a letter of candidacy and a photo to the Announcements section. There is no requirement on length, and the letter will be published immediately after it is submitted.

All you need to do is sign in to your Patch account or create one (it's free) and click the "Add an Announcement" button — or just click this link — on the Announcements page.

In the letter, please indicate the seat for which you are running, a bit about yourself and tell Patch readers why you're the right candidate for the job.

All candidate letters will be featured on the site. Please e-mail Editor Kyle Stucker at Kyle.Stucker@Patch.com after posting a letter to ensure yours is featured on the homepage of Hampton-North Hampton Patch.

No candidate letters will be featured on the homepage after Saturday, March 9, as that is the Saturday before the .
