Annual Spring Walk to School Day is Wed.
Hundreds of students and community members are expected to walk in the Safe Routes to School-supporting event.

Hampton students, teachers and community members will walk to school together Wednesday in support of efforts to improve the walkability of the beachside community.
Wednesday is Walk to School Day for the Hampton School District, which for more than a dozen years has annually held two such events — one in the fall, one in the spring — as a part of the Hampton arm of the New Hampshire Safe Routes to School Program.
Participants should arrive at the Hampton Academy parking lot no later than 8 a.m. Wednesday, as the walk will officially begin at 8:15 a.m., according to a release from the program. The Centre School group will walk south down Academy Avenue before turning west on Winnacunnet Road. The Marston School group will walk north up Academy Avenue before turning east on High Street and north on Marston Way.
