Baby Antonio Needs Your Help

Patch has partnered with GoFundMe and is highlighting worthy campaigns in local communities.

Baby Antonio just underwent heart surgery, and he's doing great. But his family needs money to help cover hotel costs and other expenses related to his surgery.

Kimberly J. White, a family member, has started a GoFundMe.com page to help raise money to assist Antonio's parents. Patch has partnered with GoFundMe and is helping to highlight worthy campaigns in local communities.

In 18 days, 23 people have already donated $2,401. The goal is $5,000.

From the page:

Hi everyone! Antonio is my daughter Hailey's cousin. Her aunt, Rachelle [Moore] Otero and her husband, Dan found out shortly after Antonio was born that he has Ventricular Septal Defect (a hole in the heart) and Pulmonary Stenosis (which is a narrowing of the opening into the pulmonary artery from the right ventricle). He has been monitored bi-weekly by Boston Children's and they recently scheduled baby Antonio for open heart surgery later this month.

While Antonio is in the hospital (for approximately two weeks), only one of his parents can stay with him each night! The accommodations available to Rachelle and Dan are costly in addition to the many other expenses associated with a surgery such as this.

In response to an event that was posted on Facebook that is raising money to help the Otero family, we got a lot of requests for an online donation option. This is why we created this Gofundme page.

We are grateful for all of the support we have already received in helping the family through this scary time and will continue to provide updates with Antonio's progress as we go along.

Most importantly your prayers are appreciated that his surgery goes off without a hitch and he recovers with no complications.

From myself and the Otero family, we thank you in advance for all of your love, support and well wishes!
