Beach Plum, 22 Other Eateries Up for Best Of NH

Many popular restaurants and food stands are nominated for multiple awards in the annual New Hampshire magazine contest.

The voting period for the annual New Hampshire Magazine Best of NH awards is underway, and the Seacoast area is well represented in 2013 installment of the festivities.

A total of 23 Hampton and North Hampton restaurants are nominated for Best of NH 2013, while the nominees for the shops, services and people awards won't be released until Friday, March 1.

Al's Seafood tops the local list for the most nominees, while numerous perennial contenders and new businesses are also up for bragging rights across a diverse mix of categories.

The following Hampton and North Hampton businesses are up for awards (the name of the "Best Of" category is listed after the business' name):

  • Fast Eddie's Diner — Onion Rings, Diner
  • Las Olas Taqueria — Nachos, Taqueria
  • Al's Seafood — Clam Chowder, Fried Clams, Seafood Restaurant, Lobster Roll
  • The Galley Hatch — Clam Chowder
  • The Beach Plum — Fried Clams, Lobster Roll, Seacoast Region Ice Cream
  • Joe's Meat Shoppe — Delicatessen, Butcher Shop
  • The Old Salt — Sunday Brunch
  • Bonta — Sunday Brunch, Italian Restaurant
  • KB's Bagels — Bagel
  • Wild Orchid Baking Company (formerly of North Hampton, since moved to Dover) — Cakes, Cupcakes
  • Sanborn's Candies — Chocolatier
  • Wicked Good Cupcakes — Cupcakes
  • Jumpin' Jacks Java — Seacoast Region Coffee Shop, Cup of Coffee
  • Throwback Brewery — Local Brewery
  • Smuttynose Brewery (building a new headquarters and restaurant in Hampton) — Local Brewery
  • Bella Rose Brick Oven Pizza — Gourmet Pizzeria
  • The Community Oven — Gourmet Pizzeria
  • Flatbread Company — Gourmet Pizzeria (Regional Chain)
  • Ronaldo's — Italian Restaurant
  • Ocean Wok — Chinese Restaurant
