Dig Out of Winter with Some Fun Weekend Events (Easter Egg Hunts Postponed)

An annual Easter breakfast, a comedy night, three benefits, a festival-like event and more are on tap this weekend.

Looking for something fun to do on the Seacoast this weekend? Here are some ideas (and be sure to tell us about the things you did and show us the pictures you took by e-mailing Editor Kyle Stucker at Kyle.Stucker@Patch.com):

1. Enjoy Some Annual Easter Fun: The annual Easter Bunny Breakfast is at Village Preschool from 8 to 10:30 a.m. Saturday.

The event is typically followed by the Hampton Beach Easter Egg Dig, although that event as well as the annual North Hampton Egg Scramble Eggstravaganza have been rescheduled to Saturday, March 30, due to the remnants of Tuesday's snowstorm.

[Editor's Note: Last week's "Five Things to Do This Weekend" incorrectly stated the Hampton Easter Egg Dig was last weekend due to an error in the Events calendar. Apologies for the confusion.]

2. Have a Laugh for a Good Cause: The Friends of Winnacunnet Foundation Comedy Night is Friday at 8 p.m. at Ashworth By The Sea. The event raises money to help support education innovation at Winnacunnet High School. The nonprofit foundation has raised over $70,000 and awarded over $25,000 in grants to date, according to Vice President Linda Libbey.

Information about tickets, the lineup of comedians and more is available here.

Also, the annual Crimeline for the Hamptons fun-filled 10-day fundraiser at the Poker Room kicks off Friday night.

3. Catch a Free movie: Lane Memorial Library will host a two free showings this weekend: "Wreck-It Ralph" at 11 a.m. Saturday; and "Argo," the 2012 Academy Award winner for Best Picture, at 2:30 p.m. Saturday.

4. Help Out Locals in Need: The Benefit for Sav — a fundraiser celebration for Rick Savastano, a Hampton surfer fighting cancer — and Seacoast Youth Services' seventh annual Hope For Youth Gala will both be held Saturday and focus on directly assisting Seacoast residents.

5. Cheer on Area Students: The Destination ImagiNation regional finals are this weekend, and numerous local schools are competing.

Also, while the event itself doesn't directly have much Seacoast participation, dozens and dozens of maple sugar houses and businesses across New Hampshire are celebrating Maple Weekend 2013 on Saturday and Sunday with a variety of specials and offerings.

What else is going on? You tell us! There are plenty of other events, but we want to know what you're going to do. Tell us in the comments!
