Driver Suffers Non-Life-Threatening Injuries in Rollover Crash
Inclement weather was the likely cause of a single-vehicle accident on I-95 in North Hampton.
North Hampton Fire Chief Dennis Cote said the driver of the vehicle that rolled on Interstate 95 near mile marker 7 Monday night sustained non-life-threatening injuries during the snowstorm-related incident, although he said the individual was transported to Exeter Hospital as a precaution.
Details were limited Monday night after emergency radio communications reported a vehicle was well off the road around 7:22 p.m. Cote confirmed Tuesday morning the incident was a single-vehicle rollover, and he said the driver of the vehicle was found alert and outside the overturned automobile when emergency personnel arrived on scene.
There was no entrapment, and the vehicle was found off the road on the southbound side of I-95, according to Cote. Cote said his department was on scene for "a half hour to 45 minutes."

The incident was one of multiple accidents in the area and on the highway Monday due to the road conditions. Cote said his department had few calls, though, because "people were driving pretty slowly" and taking extra precautions due to the storm, which he characterized as "not too bad" despite "pretty slick" roadways.
Cote did say there was another accident call about an hour after the rollover, although he said his department couldn't locate it.
