Files Sealed in Child Endangerment/Heroin Case
Heidi Johnson, 33, of 19 Robin Lane, was due in court for allegedly selling drugs, and in the process endangering children in her home.

The probable cause hearing for a Hampton woman accused of endangering children while selling heroin out of her home was again continued Wednesday, and a new hearing date hasn't yet been scheduled.
Information about the investigation into Heidi Johnson, 33, of 19 Robin Lane, is still somewhat limited, as Hampton District Court staff said files related to the case are sealed. Police have told Patch that four juveniles were allegedly "participating in some of the use of the drugs" at the home when police raided it on Aug. 2.
Johnson was due in court Wednesday morning for a probable cause hearing on numerous charges, although the hearing was continued shortly before it was scheduled to begin, according to court staff. Johnson had also been scheduled for a probable cause hearing last month, although it was pushed to Wednesday because the two sides were working on a possible release agreement that would include treatment options for Johnson.
Court staff said Wednesday that Johnson's probable cause hearing will likely be rescheduled for some time in early November.
Johnson was charged on Aug. 2 with a Class B felony count of sale of heroin/crack cocaine, a felony count of possession of a narcotic drug with intent to distribute, and a Class A misdemeanor count of endangering the welfare of a child.
Police reportedly found various illegal activity "was all taking place in the presence" of the four juveniles present when police arrived at the home.
Jonathan Peters, 28, also of 19 Robin Lane, was also arrested during the Aug. 2 raid. His case has been bound over to Rockingham Superior Court. Peters faces two Class A felony counts of possession of a controlled drug with intent to distribute, and one Class A misdemeanor count of endangering the welfare of a child.
