First of Three Big School Events Begins Wednesday
School officials and administrators are seeking heavy public involvement.

In response to many of the questions and concerns raised by the community after 200 students were withheld from North Hampton School following a gun threat, school officials will hold an informational forum Wednesday to discuss school safety and communication.
"The focus will be on relevant existing policies, procedures, the role of the school and police regarding safety and legal issues and communication," wrote school administrators in a release. "We will be looking for feedback so we can make positive changes."
An NHS student threatened to shoot a classmate in September. Administrators and police intervened after they were notified, although the response and actions taken have drawn varied reactions from parents and community members.
The forum will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at NHS.
The Hampton School District will also address school safety with the public this week. The first session is at 8:45 a.m. Thursday at Marston School, while the second will be held at 6:30 p.m. Thursday at Hampton Academy.
