Five Things: 6 Decades of Pop Comes to WHS
An annual school event, a fundraiser and two basketball doubleheaders lead the Five Things You Need to Know Today.

Good morning, Hampton and North Hampton. Here are five things you need to know for Tuesday, Feb. 12:
1. Annual Cabaret Returns This Week: The Winnacunnet High School Chamber Singers and Jazz Band will perform a night of pop hits from the 1940s through 2000 as a part of Cabaret 2013.

The annual event starts at 7 p.m. Thursday in the WHS dining hall, and tickets are $5 per person. More information is available by contacting the music department at 926-3395.

3. What Else Is Happening Today? If you're looking for a place for dinner tonight, a local business is donating some of its proceeds to a great local cause.
Also, the Hampton School Board will meet at 7 p.m. at Hampton Town Hall, while a continuation of a bank proposal will go before the North Hampton Planning Board at 6:30 p.m. at North Hampton Town Hall.
4. This Day in History : On this day in 2002, former Yugoslav president Slobodan Milosevic goes on trial at The Hague, Netherlands, on charges of genocide and war crimes in Bosnia, Croatia and Kosovo.
Milosevic served as his own attorney for much of the prolonged trial, which ended without a verdict when the so-called "Butcher of the Balkans" was found dead at age 64 from an apparent heart attack in his prison cell on March 11, 2006.
