Five Things to Do This Weekend: Jan. 18-20
Be a part of something big, cheer on some talented students, catch a game and more this weekend.

Looking for something fun to do on the Seacoast this weekend? Here are some ideas (and be sure to tell us about the things you did and show us the pictures you took by e-mailing Editor Kyle Stucker at Kyle.Stucker@Patch.com):
1. Set a Record for a Good Cause: If you're a fan of helping out the community, working out, or both, then you have a chance to help set the record for biggest fitness class while raising money for a project that will transform fitness in Hampton.

2. Check Out Hampton's First Robotics Competition: The Winnacunnet High School engineering team will get to another chance to put its robot-building-competition-winning skills to the test this weekend, thanks to the first-ever VEX Seacoast Winter Classic.
The event, which will be held Saturday at WHS, is a “Level 1” qualifying event for the 2013 VEX Robotics World Championship and will feature 13 other New England teams. While the winner goes on to the championship, the event is also a New England Regional Qualifier. That means teams that win Excellence, Design, Tournament Champion or Tournament Finalist awards will qualify to attend two of three New England Regional Championship events, and all teams advancing to the quarterfinals will be invited to attend the New England Regional Championship events.

3. Cheer on Your Favorite Sports Teams: The Boston Bruins and the rest of the National Hockey League finally return to action Saturday, while the New England Patriots are in the AFC Championship Game on Sunday.
Among the many local bars and restaurants that'll have the respective games on this weekend are the 401 Tavern, 180 Restaurant and Bar, the Community Oven, O'Leary's Grille, and the Old Salt.
Also, the Winnacunnet High School Warriors hockey and girls' basketball teams both have games this weekend.
4. Celebrate Winnie the Pooh Day: It's not technically the weekend, but there is a special noteworthy children's event at a local library on Friday.
5. Buy a Concert Ticket: Numerous Hampton Beach Casino Ballroom shows go on sale Friday. More details about those shows can be found here.
What else is going on? You tell us! There are plenty of other events, but we want to know what you're going to do. Tell us in the comments!
