Hampton Beach's multi-display show drew high praise in a statewide poll, although it was beat out by a neighboring community.

Hampton Beach is the second-most-popular place in the Granite State to watch fireworks on the Fourth of July, according to a new viewer poll conducted by WMUR.
Tens of thousands to hundreds of thousands annually flock Hampton Beach and neighboring Hampton beaches on Independence Day to view multiple fireworks displays and enjoy various well-regarded boardwalk food and treats.
Hampton Beach was beat out for the top honors in WMUR's poll by Portsmouth, as viewers said watching the Port City's display from Badger Island provides a great cityscape backdrop for the festivities.
