Hampton Man Arrested for Attempting to Strike Woman with Car
Police allege the incident was intentional because the suspect and victim knew each other.

A local man faces a felony charge for attempting to injure a pedestrian with his vehicle Thursday afternoon on Little River Road in Hampton.
Brent Pizon, 35, of Hampton, was arrested on one felony count of reckless conduct, according to Hampton Police Lt. Dan Gidley.
Gidley said Pizon allegedly crossed the yellow center line on Little River Road at about 2:15 p.m. Thursday in his green 1996 Toyota Corolla with the intention of striking a woman he knew while she was walking on the opposite side the road.

Gidley said the car didn't hit the woman or cause damage to any property in the area, and Pizon allegedly fled the scene after the woman ran to a witness in a vehicle parked on the side of the road.
Police corroborated the story with the witness, and officers were able to identify Pizon as the suspect as well as verify that the incident wasn't "random," said Gidley.

Pizon and his vehicle were both subsequently located at 20 Barbour Road, and Gidley said Pizon was taken into custody without incident.
Pizon was released on $500 cash and $5,000 personal recognizance bail. Pizon is scheduled for arraignment in Hampton District Court on March 13.
