Hampton Restaurant Raising Money for Child Fighting Cancer

Greg's Bistro in downtown Hampton is normally closed on Mondays, although the restaurant will open its doors at 4 p.m. to help raise money for a teenage fighting an aggressive form of bone cancer.

Over $5,000 has been raised so far to help Nickolas Anzalone, 13, of Hampton.

Community members and friends have started the Nickolas Anzalone Cancer Treatment Fund so his family — which includes Anzalone's mother Christine, a Seacoast realtor and bartender at Greg's Bistro — can be by his side during his various cancer treatments.

Terri O'Brien-Finn, the creator of the fund's GoFundMe.com website, has posted this message to donors and community members:

"I talked to Christine and [she and her husband] John were able to look through this website and cherish your thoughtfulness and kind words. They are amazed at what wonderful people they have in [their] lives and the new ones that have joined to support them. Keep up the good work, [don't] forget to share this site on your [Facebook] page, your [Twitter] account, your email contacts. [It's] amazing the people who step up to help."

Additional fundraising events will also be held for the cause, which has a goal of $20,000. More information can be found here.
