Hampton Teen Honored After Raising $2K+ for Cancer Patients

Donations are still coming in for the "fantastic" 2013 installment of Casey Glynn's annual "Shoot For A Cure" fundraiser.

Tens of thousands of pucks have been fired over the past eight years during Casey Glynn's annual "Shoot For A Cure" fundraiser, which raised over $2,000 during this year's installment on Saturday.

Glynn, 16, a Winnacunnet High School hockey player from Hampton, was honored Monday night by Exeter Hospital for his annual efforts, which raise money for the hospital's "Beyond the Rainbow Fund." The fund, started by Glynn's late godmother Anne-Marie Viviano, helps provide relief to patients fighting cancer.

Cindy Glynn, Casey's mother, said donations are still coming in for the "fantastic" 2013 "Shoot For A Cure," a night that also featured a St. Patrick's Day-themed public skate. She said the donation period will be kept open until April 1 because more donations are expected.
