Hubbingtons 'Forced' to Close Hampton Store
The furniture store has "lost" its lease and must close its Lafayette Road location.

Hubbingtons Furniture, located at 75 Lafayette Road in Hampton, will soon close its doors due to a lease issue.
The store, which sells United States-built furniture and decor, has posted a notice on its website to inform the public that the business has "lost" its lease and is being "forced to close."
The main Hubbingtons Furniture store is located in Barrington, and both locations are selling items at substantial discounts in order to pare down the overall inventory enough so that the two stores can be consolidated into one.

When that's possible, the Hampton location will close, according to the business' website.
The Hampton Union has reported that the lease issue stems from the fact that Brayton Energy, the building's owner, is "expanding beyond its current borders into the location where Hubbingtons has been."

Hubbingtons, which has been open in Hampton for roughly two years, has posted on its website that owners hope to have a new Seacoast location open by the fall.
