Local Biz Celebrates Big Sweat-Soaked Results

A fresh and popular local establishment is thanking members and non-members in a big way to mark a great start.

One of the Seacoast's newest gyms literally hit the ground running when it opened earlier this year. It didn't take long for that pace to become a full-out sprint either, which is why the gym is celebrating this weekend with a big grand opening.

The Sweatshop opened in North Hampton during the summer after a different gym closed down, leaving members who loved its group training format without a place to work together to accomplish exercise goals.

Those members, along with most of the former staff of the other gym, joined forces to help Danielle Hornsby start her own kind of exercise facility.

Hornsby said The Sweatshop is holding a large celebration from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 5, as a way to say thank you as well as introduce the community to their exercise family and its different method of "working out."

Hornsby hopes area residents will come out to get a taste of what the non-traditional gym has to offer, whether by participating in a free class or just watching.

"My main goal is to change the way people view fitness and lead them towards a healthy lifestyle," said Hornsby.

The grand opening celebration includes free classes between 7 a.m. and 2 p.m., as well as raffles, food, prizes, and childcare — a regular feature at The Sweatshop.
