Local Resident Pens 'Quirky' Book About Life in NH

A Hampton writer, whose name Patch readers will recognize, has published "Outastatahs: Newcomers' Adventures in New Hampshire."

Hampton resident, former Hampton Union columnist and current Patch blogger Gary Patton joins the ranks of local authors with the publication of his first book, "Outtastatahs: Newcomers’ Adventures in New Hampshire."

Patton, a transplant from the Midwest, regales readers with essays and short stories reflecting his sometimes awkward experiences in adapting to his new environment on the New Hampshire Seacoast.

Want to learn how to host a Presidential candidate, what really goes on in a town meeting, where the American Revolution really started? It’s all here for your enjoyment and edification. Although Patton is a true Outtastatah, his appreciation for the lifestyle and quirks of the people of the Granite State is obvious. He’s in New Hampshire to stay.
