Man Arrested for Fleeing Sobriety Checkpoint on Foot

A Hampton man was also among the 14 people charged with alcohol, drug and reckless operation offenses during the checkpoint.

Fourteen drivers were charged for a variety of alcohol- and drug-related offenses as the result of a sobriety checkpoint that screened 388 vehicles along Ocean Boulevard in Seabrook on Friday.

New Hampshire State Police said the following individuals were charged during the checkpoint:

  • Christopher Roy, 30, of Seekonk, Mass., was charged with operating without a valid license, reckless operation and resisting arrest after refusing to stop for the officers at the checkpoint when directed to do so, according to police. Roy was apprehended a short time later at the intersection of Ocean Boulevard and Tyngsboro Street in Seabrook after fleeing from his vehicle on foot.
  • Natasha Gobiel, 33, of Andover, Mass., was charged with driving while intoxicated.
  • Shawn Ingraham, 24, of Danvers, Mass., was charged with driving while intoxicated.
  • Daniel Schena, 31, of Lowell, Mass., was charged with driving while intoxicated.
  • James Ineson, 24, of Amesbury, Mass., was charged with driving while intoxicated.
  • Kenneth Larkin, 39, of Hudson, was charged with driving while intoxicated and possession of controlled drug.
  • Kelly Andrewchuk, 20, North Andover, Mass., was charged with possession of controlled drug.
  • Kenneth Yarnell, 50, Fitchburg, Mass., was charged with transporting drugs in a motor vehicle.
  • Justin Carnevale, 39, of Pittsfield, Mass., was charged with possession of controlled drug.
  • Richard Whiteway, 36, Salisbury, Mass., was charged with possession of controlled drug.
  • Matthew Dube, 18, of Lawrence, Mass., was charged with possession of controlled drug.
  • Andrew Smith, 25, of Hampton, was charged with operating while habitual offender.
  • Tiffany Ahearn, 26, of Lowell, Mass., was arrested on a bench warrant.

State police said the individuals arrested for DWI offenses were given a Hampton District Court arraignment date of Sept. 12 at 1 p.m. All other individuals were given a court date of Oct. 10 at 1 p.m.
