Multiple Chair Positions Open in Annual Elections
Numerous selectmen and BudCom spots are among the high-ranking positions up for grabs starting Wednesday.

Here's a breakdown of the open town and school positions available in this year's annual elections, as well as information about the filing periods and polling hours, organized by town:
HAMPTON

The filing period is from Wednesday, Jan. 23, through Friday, Feb. 1., for the town, Hampton School District and Winnacunnet School District elections.
Election polling will be conducted for all three entities from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, March 12, in the Winnacunnet High School dining hall.

Positions available:
- One (1) selectman for a three-year term (currently held by Chairman Rick Griffin)
- Two (2) Hampton Budget Committee members for one-year terms (currently held by Vic DeMarco, who took over for Peter Traynor, and Brian Lapham, who took over for Brian Warburton)
- Four (4) Hampton Budget Committee members for three-year terms (currently held by Chairwoman Eileen Latimer, Vice Chairwoman Mary-Louise Woolsey, and members Mark McFarlin and Diandra Sanphy)
- One (1) Hampton town clerk for a three-year term (currently held by Jane Marzinzik)
- Two (2) Hampton School Board members for three-year terms (currently held by Vice Chairwoman Maureen O'Leary and member Ginny Bridle)
- Two (2) planning board members for three-year terms (currently held by Chairman Fran McMahon and member Keith Lessard)
- One (1) zoning board member for a three-year term (currently held by Bryan Provencal)
- One (1) Winnacunnet School District moderator for a one-year term (currently held by Bob Casassa)
- One (1) trustee of the trust funds for a three-year term (currently held by William Hartley)
- One (1) library trustee for a three-year term (currently held by Chairwoman Linda Sadlock)
- One (1) cemetery trustee for a three-year term (currently held by Susan Erwin)
NORTH HAMPTON
The filing period is from Wednesday, Jan. 23, through Friday, Feb. 1., for the town, North Hampton School District and Winnacunnet School District elections.
Election polling will be conducted for all three entities from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, March 12, at North Hampton School.
Positions available:
- One (1) selectman for a three-year term (currently held by Chairman Jim Maggiore)
- Two (2) North Hampton Budget Committee members for three-year terms
- One (1) town clerk/tax collector for a three-year term (currently held by Sue Buchanan)
- Two (2) North Hampton School Board members for three-year terms
- One (1) North Hampton representative for a three-year term on the Winnacunnet School Board (currently held by Henry Marsh)
- One (1) North Hampton representative for a three-year term on the Winnacunnet Budget Committee
- One (1) town treasurer for a one-year term (currently held by Marcia Van Dyke)
- Two (2) planning board members for three-year terms (currently held by Mike Hornsby and Barbara Kohl)
- Two (2) zoning board of adjustment members for three-year terms (currently held by Vice Chairman David Buber and member George Lagassa)
- One (1) Winnacunnet School District moderator for a one-year term (currently held by Bob Casassa)
- One (1) trustee of the library for a three-year term
- One (1) trustee of the cemetery for a three-year term
- One (1) water commissioner for a three-year term (currently held by Co-Chairman Bob Landman)
- One (1) trustee of the trust funds for a three-year term
IMPORTANT NOTE: While the election polling all occurs on the same day and at the same place, the deliberative sessions for the various town and school entities are different.
