New Biz Teams Up with Heartfelt Local Charity
Hampton's newest restaurant is "over the moon" to begin its community-focused nights with a child-focused cause.
A new downtown Hampton business focused on supporting the community will start its first full week off by joining forces with a respected local nonprofit that embodies the spirit of the Seacoast area.
Flatbread Pizza Company's first fundraising night will benefit the Molly Fund from 5 to 9 p.m. this Tuesday, Feb. 12. A portion of the proceeds from dine-in and take-out sales at the newly-opened pizzeria will be given to the cause, which is named after an inspirational Hampton girl and raises money for children fighting cancer.
Jodie Goucher, a server at Flatbread, said she wanted to mark the first of regular charity nights at the restaurant with "fabulous" night to benefit a cause that "comes straight from her heart."

"Little Molly has brought this community together, helping to raise funds in Molly's name is something we are all so very proud to do," said Goucher, who is close with Meighan and Buck Rowlee, Molly's parents and the creators of the Molly Fund. "Even little ones like mine recognize Molly's beautiful name as a sight word and read it."
Goucher said Flatbread, the headquarters for which are located across the street from its new High Street restaurant, managers and employees were "over the moon" to have Molly Fund for the first installment of the business' Tuesday night charity nights.

In addition to portions of the pizza sales — including take-out, on which the small restaurant will have to heavily rely — Goucher said Molly Fund bracelets, bumper stickers and other memorabilia will be sold during Tuesday's event to raise money for the cause.
Donations are also accepted and more information is available by contacting Flatbread — which is open 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. on every day but Friday and Saturday, when the business is open 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. — at 926-6111.
