New Miss Hampton Beach to Be Crowned This Weekend

Looking for something fun to do on the Seacoast this weekend? Here are some ideas (and be sure to tell us about the things you did and show us the pictures you took by posting on Patch or by e-mailing Kyle Stucker at Kyle.Stucker@Patch.com):
1. It's pageant season once again at Hampton Beach, as a variety of New Hampshire teens will take the Seashell Stage on Saturday and Sunday, respectively, for the Little Miss Hampton Beach and Miss Hampton Beach competitions.
Contestants will perform in a variety of categories designed to showcase the talents and intellects of dozens of hopefuls chasing the Hampton Beach crown. More information about pageant start and competition times can be found here.

2. Portsmouth's popular Folk Festival is back on Friday. A variety of performers will take the Prescott Park stage starting at 5 p.m., including Grammy-nominated Trombone Shorty, Ruthie Foster, Ben Taylor, Hurray for the Riff Raff, and Ryan Flaherty and the Burners.

3. Learn about a big Seacoast myth Saturday at the John Paul Jones House in Portsmouth, where there's a special event involving the story of the Ursula Cutt Massacre.
4. Three regular Hampton Beach Seashell Stage performers will bring their unique styles to the area's most popular beach this weekend.
5. There are many performances on the Prescott Park stage this weekend, including several shows of the musical "Annie."
