NH Police K-9 Tracks Down Accused Robber July 4

New Hampshire State police said Jose Baez was arrested during a chase in Hampton.

HAMPTON, NH — A New Hampshire State Police K-9 helped officers arrest a robber during a chase in Hampton July 4, authorities said. Jose Baez, 34, of Ashland, Massachusetts, faces a host of charges.

Police said Baez robbed someone in the 500-block of Ocean Boulevard at about 8 p.m. and fled on foot to a neighborhood on Dumas Avenue. Officers gave chase and a state police K-9 named Ram (pictured) found him hiding under bushes on a cliff.

Baez was charged with robbery, assault resisting arrest and drug possession. He was released on $10,000 bond pending an arraignment July 13 in Rockingham County Superior Court.
