North Hampton Man in Tractor-Trailer Rollover
The accident occurred near Exit 5 on Route 101 in Raymond.
State Police continue to investigate a tractor-trailer rollover on Route 101 in Raymond in which a North Hampton man escaped serious injury May 15.
The accident occurred around 7 a.m. eastbound near Exit 5 when Peter Smith, 61, of North Hampton, went off the road, according to State Police.
The 2010 Peterbilt tractor, which is registered to Abenaki Carriers of North Hampton, was hauling a box trailer registered to Xpress Natural Gas of Baileyville, Maine, police said.
The tractor-trailer veered off the side of the road and down an embankment where it jack-knifed, rolled over and separated before coming to rest.

Police said Smith had what appeared to be only minor injuries. He was treated on the scene by Raymond Fire & Rescue.
The trailer had a small amount of natural gas onboard that had to be safely discharged before the trailer could be up righted, according to State Police.

Police say it appears driver fatigue may be a factor in the accident, which remains under investigation.
