Pease Greeters Welcome Home Largest-Ever Flight
Locals helped salute and congratulate servicemen and women during a record-breaking return.
Richard DellaPaolera of the Pease Greeters sent the featured picture in the above gallery on Sunday, a couple weeks after Fred Schottler captured it while welcoming home 374 troops and 25 crew members on Feb. 13.
The room was packed and highly emotional as residents from all over the Seacoast welcomed home the largest number of passengers to ever land in New Hampshire, according to DellaPaolera.
Also included in the gallery are images from North Hampton fourth graders' visit to Pease on Feb. 21, a visit which DellaPaolera said included "some great interaction" between children and returning troops.
