Police Searching for Driver Who Fled After Seriously Injuring Motorcyclist
Two people were injured during a hit-and-run on Route 101, including one woman who is in "serious" condition.

A motorcycle rider was still in serious condition at a Maine hospital Tuesday night following a hit-and-run accident on Route 101 in Hampton on Sunday.
Hampton Police Lt. Dan Gidley said a medium-sized vehicle, possibly gold or silver in color, attempted to turn onto Route 101 east from Lafayette Road around 8:30 p.m. Sunday, striking a motorcycle that was already on the ramp.
Gidley said the vehicle then left the scene of the collision.

The driver of the motorcycle suffered undisclosed injuries, and the motorcycle's female passenger suffered life-threatening injuries, according to Gidley. The passenger was airlifted to a Maine hospital, and she was still listed in "serious" condition Tuesday night, according to Gidley.
Gidley said the suspect's vehicle should have damage on the passenger side of the vehicle and that the vehicle is missing its passenger side mirror.
