Details were limited over emergency radio communications, although each incident was reported around 7 p.m., according to archived messages. The Hampton incident reportedly was an attempted robbery at Xtra Mart, during which a masked man entered the store and said he had a gun, according to emergency radio communications.
Emergency radio communications reported the gun wasn't shown, though, and the employee on duty hit the store's panic alarm, which reportedly malfunctioned. This delayed police response, according to police. No additional details were available over emergency radio communications.

A reader told Hampton-North Hampton Patch there were two New Hampshire State Police cruisers and a K-9 unit near the store, which is part of a Mobil gas station at the corner of Lafayette Road (Route 1) and Ann's Lane, around the time of the incident.
The Hampton Police Department couldn't immediately be reached for comment Friday morning.
The Poker Room robbery was reported at 7:08 p.m., and according to emergency radio communications one person was transported to the hospital due to a head injury sustained during the incident.
Emergency radio communications indicated a gun was shown during what was initially called a strong-arm robbery, and a county-wide alert was issued for a red pickup truck used in the incident.
