SEABROOK, NH — A motorcyclist from Massachusetts died after a crash on Ocean Boulevard in Seabrook on Wednesday night, according to New Hampshire State Police.

Just after 10:15 p.m., Seabrook police and fire and rescue teams were sent to a crash near Lawrence Street involving a pickup truck and motorcycle. State troopers were requested later after Alfred Ferrioli, 47, a motorcyclist from Salem, MA, died at a hospital as a result of injuries sustained during the crash.

Investigators said Ferrioli was riding south when he approached a cluster of traffic traveling in the same direction. He then changed lanes to the right and passed a vehicle while attempting to reenter the left traffic lane. Ferrioli then struck a 2017 Toyota Tacoma, being driven by a Revere, MA, man, and lost control of the bike.

“The motorcycle departed the right side of the road, traveled through a grassy field, and eventually entered the front yard of a home where the motorcycle struck a raised flowerbed surrounded by concrete pavers,” Tyler Dumont, the public information officer for state police, said. “As a result of the impact, Ferrioli was thrown from the motorcycle, and the motorcycle came to rest in a nearby field.”

Ferrioli was taken to a hospital and succumbed to the injuries sustained in the crash.

The truck sustained minor damage. The driver of the pickup truck and a passenger were not injured. The driver, Dumont noted, immediately contacted 911 and remained at the scene.

One lane of Ocean Boulevard was closed for about three hours during the cleanup and investigation. Seabrook, Salisbury, MA, and Salem, MA police, as well as Seabrook firefighters, the state medical examiner’s office, and New England Truck Center, all assisted at the scene.

All aspects of the crash remain under further investigation. Anyone with information was asked to contact Trooper Hanna via email at brian.d.hanna@dos.nh.gov.
