Seacoast DWI Checkpoint: 2 Arrests Labor Day Weekend
NH State Police, Hampton police and Seabrook police conducted a sobriety checkpoint in Seabrook.

SEABROOK, NH — Two drivers were arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated during a sobriety checkpoint in Seabrook Saturday over the Labor Day weekend holiday. The checkpoint, conducted by New Hampshire State Police, Hampton police and Seabrook police, was held on Route 1A. A total of 273 drivers were stopped and screened, police said.
The drivers arrested on DWI charges were David Kearney, 44, of Leominster, Massachusetts, and Byron Cleveland, 25, of Haverhill, Massachusetts. Cleveland was charged with aggravated DWI.
Kearney and Cleveland were scheduled for an arraignment in Seabrook District Court September 13.
