Selectmen to Soon Act on Wally's Pub License
The beach bar's entertainment license renewal may hinge on recent changes to reduce excessive noise and alleged sex and drug activity.

The Hampton Board of Selectmen is expected to soon decide whether to renew the Wally's Pub entertainment license once officials receive updated statistics indicating whether significant changes made to the business have curbed noise and other issues at the Hampton Beach bar, according to the Hampton Union.
The Hampton Union has reported that Hampton Police Chief Jamie Sullivan will provide selectmen during the Feb. 25 meeting an updated police activity report for Wally's Pub. The business was at the center of controversy last year, and several police- and selectmen-recommended improvements were made to limit illegal activity and reduce resident complaints.
"What I'm looking to do is confirm that his stats support the perception that things have gotten better," Selectman Dick Nichols reportedly said, noting that their recommendations for change are roughly eight months old and the overall volume of police calls for service may have decreased at Wally's since there were 194 in 2011.
