Should Shea-Porter, Kuster be Worried?

A new poll released this week shows both congresswomen locked in tight races.

A new poll released this week suggests that Democratic U.S. Reps. Carol Shea-Porter and Annie Kuster could be in danger of losing their seats in the 2014 election.

The poll, conducted by the University of New Hampshire Survey Center, has Shea-Porter trailing Republican challenger Frank Guinta and Kuster holding onto a narrow lead against GOP candidate Gary Lambert.

Shea-Porter, with a favorability rating of 39 percent, trails Guinta by a 45 to 39 percent margin. She leads the other GOP candidate, Dan Innis, 43 to 33 percent.

Kuster, whose favorability rating is just 30 percent, leads Lambert by a 38 to 34 percent margin. She holds a slightly larger lead, 36 to 30 percent, over GOP candidate Marilinda Garcia.
