St. Patrick's Day Weekend Benefits More than Just Partiers
There are three big generosity-focused events this St. Patrick's Day weekend, as well as many other fun activities you could check out.

Looking for something fun to do on the Seacoast this weekend? Here are some ideas (and be sure to tell us about the things you did and show us the pictures you took by e-mailing Editor Kyle Stucker at Kyle.Stucker@Patch.com):
1. Big Fundraiser and Celebration Planned for Slain Chief: A large St. Patrick's Day benefit will be held Sunday in honor of Greenland Police Chief Michael Maloney.

2. Assist a Shot for a Cure: Casey Glynn's eighth annual "Shoot for the Cure" will raise money for cancer research and help honor those lost to cancer at 6 p.m. Saturday at the Rinks at Exeter.
Glynn, 16, of Hampton, started firing hockey pucks eight years ago at the age of 8 in order to raise money for Exeter Hospital's "Beyond the Rainbow Fund," started by Glynn's late godmother Anne-Marie Viviano. Glynn and fellow members of the Winnacunnet High School hockey team will take part in the two-hour event, during which the public is invited to partake in a St. Patrick's Day public skate.

"This fund was very important to [Viviano]," said Glynn in a release about the event, which has raised over $14,000 over the past eight years for "Beyond The Rainbow" and the American Cancer Society. "Her vision was to help provide financial assistance to local cancer patients in need. It has helped many patients pay for childcare while in treatment, wigs while going through chemotherapy, medication, and has also helped pay for utility bills. Whatever the financial burden may be, "Beyond The Rainbow" is there to help provide relief from it all and to help patients fighting cancer focus on getting healthier."
3. Do Something Fun with Your Kids: Hampton Parks and Recreation's annual Easter Egg Dig starts at 11 a.m. Friday. Click here for details.
4. Cheer on Grand Gesture for Charity: Sixty members of the Hampton Rotary Club will go on a big shopping spree at an area store to help six Hampton-area nonprofits hit hard by the cancelation of an event that brought in big donations.
5. Catch a Free Movie: Lane Memorial Library has a free showing of "Hitchcock," starring Anthony Hopkins, at 2 p.m. Saturday.
What else is going on? You tell us! There are plenty of other events, but we want to know what you're going to do. Tell us in the comments!
