Town Buildings Closed Due to Utility Work
Multiple town offices and the fire and police departments will be closed to the public for at least a portion of the day.

Good morning, Hampton and North Hampton. Here are five things you need to know for Tuesday, May 21:
1. Today's Top Thing: The North Hampton Town Clerk’s Office, the Town Administrative Offices and non-emergency functions at the police and fire departments will be closed from about 9 a.m. to noon today as Public Service of New Hampshire performs work along Atlantic Avenue, according to the town.

Town officials said electricity service will be temporarily interrupted, and that the offices will fully reopen once power is restored.

3. What Else Is Happening Today? There are two different special events — “An Evening with Artist Peg Duffin” at Art Experience, and "Spirits and Hauntings" with authors Isabeau Esby and A.J. Kitt at North Hampton Public Library.
Also, Centre School first graders visit Lane Memorial Library, the WHS World Language Department's Costa Rica trip banquet and slide show is at 6 p.m. in the dining hall, the Hampton Budget Committee will meet at 7 p.m. at Hampton Town Hall, the Hampton Parent-Teacher Association will meet at 7 p.m., Hampton kindergarten registration is from 11:45 a.m. to 6 p.m., and the North Hampton Planning Board will meet at 7 p.m. at North Hampton Town Hall.
4. This Day in History: On this day in 1881 in Washington, D.C., humanitarians Clara Barton and Adolphus Solomons founded the American National Red Cross, an organization established to provide humanitarian aid to victims of wars and natural disasters in congruence with the International Red Cross.
