Two Arrested in Drug Raid at Hampton Motel

Two Massachusetts men were arrested in a raid Friday after police broke up an alleged narcotic drug ring at a Hampton motel.

Brian Maguire, 24, and Joshua Maguire, 25, both of Newburyport, Mass., were arrested following a raid of the Stone Gable Inn, according to Hampton Police Lt. Dan Gidley.

Gidley said Brian Maguire was charged with felony possession of a controlled drug with intent to distribute and possession of drug paraphernalia, while Joshua Maguire was charged with possession of drug possession. Joshua Maguire was also arrested on an outstanding warrant, according to Gidley.

The Maguires were arrested after police executed search warrants on two rooms at the motel Friday, said Gidley. He said investigators recovered "a quantity of narcotic drugs, drug paraphernalia, money and weapons," among other items, during the raid.

Police say additional arrested are likely forthcoming for other individuals involved in the sale of the drugs at Stone Gable Inn.

Brian Maguire is being held on $2,500 cash only bail at the Rockingham County House of Corrections, while Joshua Maguire is being held at the jail on the outstanding warrant, according to Gidley.

Investigators and officers from Hampton, Seabrook, and Amesbury, Mass., police departments were involved in the case, according to Gidley.
