2011 WHS Grad Could Face 180 Years for Making, Sharing Child Porn
Corey Ferland allegedly made pornographic images of an underage ex-girlfriend and sent them to her father.

A recent Winnacunnet High School graduate could face upwards of 180 years in prison if convicted on eight different child pornography-related indictments handed down in Rockingham Superior Court this month.
Corey Ferland, 20, formerly of 10 Cogger St. in Hampton, was indicted by a grand jury on four counts of distribution of child sexual abuse images, two counts of manufacture of child sexual abuse images and two counts of possession of child sex abuse images for allegedly taking and sharing nude pictures of a 17-year-old ex-girlfriend earlier this year.
The manufacturing charges each carry a possible jail sentence of between 15 and 30 years, while the remaining charges each carry a possible sentence of between 10 and 20 years, according to the indictments.

Ferland was originally arrested on Feb. 20 after the Hampton Police Department executed a search warrant at his home. He had a video arraignment in March.
The indictments and court paperwork state Ferland used Facebook to send explicit photos of his ex-girlfriend, who was engaged in various sexual acts, to the girl's father and four other individuals.

An indictment is not an indication of guilt or conviction; rather, it means a grand jury believed there was sufficient evidence to warrant a trial.
During Ferland's initial arrest, police also charged him with one count of violation of a protection order. Police said at the time that the charge stemmed from a separate incident.
