• Lebanon residents push for finance advisory committee (vnews.com) — Lebanon residents have forced a public hearing this Thursday on creating a finance advisory committee to scrutinize city spending and rising property taxes. After steep reappraisal-driven tax hikes and a contentious budget season, petitioners also are advancing a separate tax-cap charter amendment likely headed for the March ballot. Both measures could reshape how Lebanon sets budgets and manages future tax increases.
