MFD District Chief Hank Martineau said it appears there was a malfunction in a smoker in the kitchen which appears to have caused the fire. The fire appears to be accidental, and the fire was isolated to the second floor kitchen. Due to the sprinklers flowing for several minutes both the first and second floor suffered water damage.

The Manchester Health Department was requested to the scene which is normal protocol. The Health Department will work with fire investigators to make sure all repairs are made, and there is a safe environment before the restaurant is allowed to reopen.
