All Apple Theft Suspects Plead Not Guilty
Arraignments for those arrested in October took place on Nov. 5.
Eight of the nine Massachusetts residents arrested in Londonderry for allegedly stealing apples in October pleaded not guilty to charges on Monday.
The suspects involved in two seperate incidents were arraigned in Derry District Court.
Hang Wong, 58, Tony Wong, 57 and their two sons, Wai Wong, 27, and Steven Wong, 19, were all charged with theft by deception on Oct. 11. All four are from Quincy, Mass.

They each face a max penalty of a $1,200 fine.

Trial management conferences for the four suspects have been scheduled for Jan. 15.
In a separate incident on Oct. 16, five others were arrested by Londonderry Police.
Joanne Liu, 42, of 912 Jetter Court, Brighton, Mass.; Li Zhu, 54, of 19 Porter St., Malden, Mass.; Xiao Fang Guan, 54, of 411 Newport Avenue, Quincy, Mass.; Yan Fen Yang, 57, of 1305 Commonwealth Avenue, Boston, Mass.; and Zuo Zhu Xue, 41, of 196A Shore Drive, Quincy, Mass. were charged with theft.
According to the court clerk, documents show that Xiao Fang Guan also had a hearing scheduled for Nov. 5, but it was cancelled and likely rescheduled.
An interpretor was on hand to translate for the other four suspects, as they all speak Mandarin Chinese.
But the suspects did not say much other than nodding to the judge when called upon.
All suspects face $1,200 fines and will have trial management conferences on Jan. 15.
