Family of Four Charged with Stealing Apples

The Quincy, Mass. family attempted to load their car with stolen apples.

Four family members have been charged with theft by deception after they allegedly attempted to load up their car with stolen apples from a local orchard.

Hang Wong, 58, Tony Wong, 57, and their two sons, Wai Wong, 27, and Steven Wong, 19, of 63 East Elm Avenue, Quincy, Mass. were arrested at 5:29 p.m. Thursday at Mack's Apples and charged with theft by deception. Wai Wong is also facing a second charge of obstructing government administration.

Hang Wong, Tony Wong and Steven Wong were each released on $1,000 personal recognizance bail, while Wai Wong was released on $2,000 personal recognizance bail. All four are scheduled to appear in Derry District Court on Nov. 5.
