Puritan Restaurant Damaged By Fire In The Wall
MFD responded to a fire alarm and on arrival discovered a fire at the popular Manchester restaurant.
MANCHESTER, NH — The Manchester Fire Department responded for a fire alarm activation at the Puritan Restaurant on Hooksett Road at 7:04 a.m. Wednesday. Engine 5 arrived and found a smoke condition in an office area on the first floor. They then called for a full first alarm assignment.
The fire was in in an interior partition wall and had traveled to the roof level. The fire was extinguished and fire units checked for fire extension, finding no further extension of fire into the rest of the restaurant.
The incident was placed under control at 7:45 a.m. The Manchester Health Department came to the scene and assisted companies. Engine 5 cleared the scene at 8:49 am.

No firefighters were injured and no workers were in the restaurant at the time of the fire.
The restaurant has been closed for take out by the health department until the appropriate repairs have been made.
