Fire Closes Rig A' Tony's Restaurant In Derry

DERRY, NH — Derry fire received multiple calls for a structure fire at 38 West Broadway just after 7 pm. Responding fire personnel reported smoke showing as they were leaving the station and in route.

On their arrival they had heavy fire showing in the rear of a restaurant which had been occupied by several employees and was offering take-out food. The restaurant Rig A' Tony's is a popular restaurant in Derry.

Derry Fire called for a working fire bringing mutual aid from several surrounding towns including Auburn, Chester, Londonderry, and Windham.

The fire was knocked down in the rear of the building but smoke filled the restaurant.

The restaurant was damaged by fire and had a heavy amount of smoke inside the restaurant.

DFD will be issuing a press release, and remain on scene but the fire is under control.
