2. SAFETY DAY AT MATTHEW THORNTON: The Londonderry Child Passenger Safety Program, in cooperation with Moose Hill School PTA is conducting their 12th annual Londonderry Family Safety Day on Sept. 22 at Matthew Thornton. The event will take place from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m.

3. EEE FOUND IN DERRY: The Department of Health and Human Services announced on Thursday that horse in Derry tested positive for EEE.
4. THIS DAY IN HISTORY: On this day in 1780, during the American Revolution, American General Benedict Arnold meets with British Major John Andre to discuss handing over West Point to the British, in return for the promise of a large sum of money and a high position in the British army. The plot was foiled and Arnold, a former American hero, became synonymous with the word "traitor."
