Brooks to Challenge Prison Confinement for Role in Murder

A team is seeking a new trial for Jesse Brooks

A former Londonderry resident behind bars for his role in a 2005 Deerfield murder will soon file a federal suit challenging his treatment behind bars, according to the Union Leader.

According to his mother and investigators, Jesse Brooks is frequently moved between Arizona prisons and denied the morphine he needs for a back injury. 

His father was convicted of murder for hire in the killing of handyman Jack Reid, who was a Derry resident. Jesse Brooks is serving a 15- to 30-year sentence for murder conspiracy
