Free Museum Admission this Weekend!

Here are five things you should know as we head into this beautiful Londonderry weekend.

1. Get in touch with your inner art enthusiast. The first weekend of every month, Bank of America and Merrill Lynch cardholders can kick off another month of Museums on Us with free admission to the Currier Museum of Art in Manchester. Click here for more information.

2. Early rain?
After a damp start, today is going to transition into a beautiful summer weekend. The National Weather Service calls for showers early today, with a 40-percent chance of rain in the AM, and then partly cloudy skies in the afternoon with a high near 83 degrees and a nighttime low of 62 degrees.

3. Your weekend outlook. Here's a glance at what Mother Nature has in store the rest of the weekend:
  • Saturday: A slight chance of showers after 10 a.m. Partly sunny, with a high near 82.
  • Saturday Night: A slight chance of showers after midnight. Partly cloudy, with a low around 59.
  • Sunday: A chance of showers, mainly between 1 and 5 p.m. Mostly sunny, with a high near 80.
  • Sunday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 55
4. Are you in need of some hairspray? The Derryfield Repertory Theatre is proud to present "Hairspray," Broadway's musical comedy phenomenon that inspired a major motion picture. The audience will be swept away to 1960s Baltimore in this international smash-hit musical, piled bouffant-high with laughter and romance - and enough deliriously tuneful songs to fill a nonstop platter party. The cast features emerging talent from New Hampshire, Boston, and New York City. Performances are Friday and Saturday, Aug. 2 and 3 at The Derryfield School Performing Arts Auditorium. Tickets are $15 and are available at www.derryfield.org/summer/DRT or at the box office before the show. Looking for more fun summer ideas? Check out our Patch event calendar by clicking here
