Hooksett Man Killed In Early Morning Rollover Crash Saturday

HOOKSETT, NH — A 20-year-old Hooksett man was killed early Saturday morning in a single-vehicle rollover crash on Farmer Road, according to the Hooksett Police Department.

Officers responded to the scene near 117 Farmer Road at approximately 2:16 a.m. The driver, identified as Jack Van Nort of Hooksett, was pronounced dead at the scene. Police said Van Nort was driving a 2005 Pontiac Grand Am eastbound when the vehicle veered off the road, striking a large rock and a tree before overturning. He was the car's sole occupant, and no other vehicles were involved.

The Hooksett Crash Reconstruction Unit is leading the investigation. Hooksett Police said they believe speed and alcohol were contributing factors.

A section of Farmer Road was closed for several hours during the investigation.
