Lawsuit: Derry Lawmaker Starred In Porn, Hit Producer

A lawsuit claims NH State Rep. Frank Sapareto, of Derry, starred in a porn film in California then assaulted a producer over its quality.

DERRY, NH -- A prominent New Hampshire lawmaker starred in a porn film then assaulted a producer because he was unhappy with the scenes, according to a lawsuit detailed in an Associated Press report Monday. The suit claims State Rep. Frank Sapareto, a Derry Republican, assaulted the producer in June in Southern California, where the alleged porn was also filmed.

Sapareto told the Associated Press "I don’t know what you’re talking about" when asked about the allegations.

Sapareto, 58, has served seven terms as state representative and is seeking an eighth November 6. If elected, he said he plans to run for House Speaker.

Sapareto is currently the vice chairman of the House Criminal Justice and Public Safety Committee. In 2013, he was convicted of assaulting his girlfriend's son. He avoided jail and was ordered to enroll in anger management counseling.

On his campaign website, Sapareto writes, "I have always dealt with my colleagues with respect and have always kept my word. I have no baggage to previous leadership teams. I have never been in any house leadership position or owed any favors, and have frequently spoken out against Republican or Democrat speakers whom I believed were on the wrong side of the issue."
