LHS Athlete Has Possible Concussion
A sophomore football player was taken to the hospital by helicopter Wednesday afternoon.

A sophomore at Londonderry High School who was airlifted to Beth Israel Hospital in Boston on Wednesday has a possible concussion, according to Superintendent Nate Greenberg.
The 15-year-old student suffered the injury just after 4 p.m. during football practice when he landed on the side of his head. A DHART (Dartmouth-Hitchcock Advanced Response Team) Helicopter transported the athlete from the scene at the decision of an EMT on the scene.
Greenberg said that the student also has a sore neck, but he was informed that he will be released from the hospital today.

We are thankful it was not anything of a more serious nature," said Greenberg. "The school staff (and) EMTs did all of the right things, being very cautious and taking preventive measures."
