It is unlawful to transport solid waste in New Hampshire without a permit authorized by the Department of Environmental Services (“NHDES”), or to store or dispose of solid waste at a facility other than a permitted solid waste facility.
According to NHDES Commmissioner Thomas Burack, the solid waste requirements were put in place for the "safety of all of us and our environment."
The investigation was coordinated by the Attorney General's Office, NHDES, the federal Environmental Protection Agency/Criminal Investigation Division, the Allenstown Police Department and Londonderry Police Department.
