The homeowner confirmed that all human occupants were safely out of the building but reported two dogs were still inside. As engine companies advanced hose lines to combat the fire, the dedicated search crew initiated their efforts and successfully located and rescued a puppy. The second dog was able to escape the building on its own.

Firefighters quickly brought the basement fire under control and remained on scene for an extended period to conduct salvage and overhaul operations. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.

The Londonderry Fire Department extended its gratitude to Hudson and the remaining members of Battalion 4 for providing town coverage while crews worked at the scene.
